In version 5 of VMware Player, VMware has added the ability to choose which physical adapter(s) to use in the Bridged mode, in case you have multiple physical adapters on the host machine and it automatically selects the wrong one. This can be a problem if you have specific networking needs, like custom IP address subnets or ranges, or when multiple physical adapters are installed on the host machine. They can be found in C:\ProgramData\VMwareįor your reference I attached one dump of vnetlib64.exe and the registry for the vmnetbridge-serviceįor your reference I attached one dump of vnetlib64.VMware Player doesn’t offer full customization of the virtual network adapters for your virtual machines. So does any of you know how to solve my problem? I am looking for a way to write a simple batch script that exports the settings without having to deal with the registry. If have also tried the vnetlib64.exe, but no luck. I know that vnetlib is working because I have already successfully reinstalled the vmx86 service with vnetlib - install. I have also tried "vnetlib - export path_to_file", but that doesn't help either. The command should be "start /wait vnetlib.exe - export path_to_file" (I am running this command from within the Workstation installation directory, of course). However if I try to run the command as described in the link, no file gets created on my machine. the vnetlib command should support an "- export" statement which creates a text file containing the necessary information. Source: Re: VMware WS configuration backup But those keys are at least partly unique on each host machine so it would be a real pain to look up the keys on every host machine individually. on a Windows host, all the settings could be saved by exporting certain keys from the registry. However I am not able to find the corresponding file in Windows. on a Linux host, the settings are stored in /etc/vmware/networking. After googling for the problem I have found the following: I am using Workstation 10.0.3 on Windows 7 64Bit and have multiple networks configured on various host machines. I am looking for an easy way to save and restore my Virtual Network Editor settings.
